Brains and Bibles Needs Your Help in Reaching America for Jesus Christ!
"Brains and Bibles" is named intentionally because those two things should never be disconnected! B&B strengthens and equips churches to do the work of the ministry in subjects such as evangelism, discipleship, and Bible study through counsel, camps, conferences, curriculum, and Christ! This ministry helps people to know and communicate the Person and Word of God.
It all started with founder and executive director Joel Willoughby in March 2020. For seven years, beginning in August 2015, he taught Bible classes to junior high and high school students at Ankeny Christian Academy in Ankeny, Iowa. The journey began in the Spring of 2019 as Joel began looking to work during the summers by laboring in and teaching the Word of God. The early focus of Brains and Bibles was more on Worldviews, Apologetics, and Bible study. Those were the tools to share the gospel better and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Later, the focus shifted directly to meeting churches wherever they are and helping to equip them in evangelism, discipleship, and Bible study as a united whole. This support comes mainly in the form of conferences. Brains and Bibles is continually developing and blossoming into a more fruitful ministry as the Lord continues molding it into the right tool for His use, growing His church in the world.
Brains and Bibles has been granted 501c3 tax-exempt status from the IRS and is a registered nonprofit in Iowa. This ministry is directed by a board of highly qualified, passionate, and ministry-minded individuals who support the executive director, Joel Willoughby, in accomplishing the mission of Brains and Bibles.
